Fine Art Show & Sale
August 6th & 7th, 2011

Eligibility
Art in the Park is open to both professional and amateur artists.  Original works in painting, graphics, sculpture, photography, wood, glass, metals, printmaking, ceramics, jewelry and mixed media are eligible.  NO kit crafts are allowed.  Artists may only exhibit in the medium(s) in which they are juried. The Ottawa Art League reserves the right to refuse exhibition of work not consistent with submitted applications.

Jury Process
Artists must submit three (3) slides, photos, or a CD that accurately represents their current work.  If artists would like to exhibit in more than one category they must submit three (3) slides/photos in each medium.  Please do not send actual work.  Photos and slides should be labeled clearly with the artists name and medium.  Please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope with proper postage for return of application materials.  Notification of acceptance will be mailed by July 15th.   No refunds after July 16th. Artists who participated in Ottawa Art League's Art in the Park 2010 do not have to send jury materials or fee.

Requirements
Each artist is required to be in attendance during show hours.  The artist is required to display their original artwork.  Prints should be signed, numbered and marked limited edition.  Reproductions must be marked as such and should not comprise more than 25% of the display.  All work displayed for sale should have prices clearly marked.  All sales tax reporting will be the responsibility of the artist.  Ottawa City Tax is 7%.  It is recommended that you have a copy of your Illinois Business Tax number with you.

Illinois Business Tax Number
The City of Ottawa requires an Illinois Business Tax Number (IBT#) to participate in Art in the Park.  A copy of your IBT Certificate must be included with your application!

Show Date & Location
August 6th & 7th, 2011
9am-4pm.
Art in the Park is held in the northwest corner Washington Square Park at the corners of LaSalle and Lafayette Streets in downtown Ottawa,
Illinois.

Booth Space
Booth space is approximately 10 x 10.  All booths are on grass facing the sidewalk.  Artists will be responsible for providing their own tents and displays.  Set-up is from 7am-9am

Fees
Booth fee $50.00
Non-refundable Jury fee $5
OAL Members Booth fee $40/ No jury fee

Awards & Judging
Best of Show $150
First Place $100
Second Place $75
Third Place $50
Two (2) Honorable Mention Awards $25/each
Judging starts at 10am and will be based on overall quality of the artwork & exhibit.

Application Deadline
Applications must be postmarked by July 8th, 2011.
